He was a young man, and built well. His eyes were hidden behind those granny shades, but the visible blonde, pale skin and very western dress... and his build, of course, made him look very like a westerner. He stood in the lobby of the building he knew housed the Castle the Queen resided in. As far as he'd heard, there hadn't yet been a new King.
He stepped toward the reception desk, and the small girl at least one other person had known was the Rabbit fangire looked up at him with a sour frown. She didn't like the look of him at all. AT ALL. He just smiled politely, and in completely flawless Japanese.
"Is the Queen in?" Courtesy and kindness laced his voice, which was warm and deep. He spoke as he would to an equal, instead of an inferior he could crush in a gesture...

The Rabbit Fangire did not expect him to speak as he did. Immediately, her attention was caught and she looked more carefully at him. No, he was not a westerner after all. Even so, there was something else about him. Some time ago, Queen had received requests for audiences from both traitors and outworlders. Their presences always made her uncomofortable, as if the enemies they made during the war would take advantage of their situation to destroy them.
"Who are you?" she asked in a no-nonsense manner. "And what is your business with Queen?"

"I am the Mantidfly Fangire, and I have come to notify the queen of some urgent and potentially world-shaping information, information regarding the Checkmate Four." He spoke calmly, and precisely. His voice was still kind, but it'd gotten noticeably colder, as if her tone had frozen his mood solid.
He did not remove his hand from his pocket, the symbol there still not itself proof of his position. He wasn't yet familiar or handy with his abilities, either, and proving those would be complicated, if not fatal, he thought. He simply waited patiently for the young girl's reaction to his words.

At the mention of the Checkmate Four, her ears perked and she stiffened in attention. Queen would definitely want to meet him but the Rabbit Fangire did not give the visitor his clearence just yet. There was still protocol if only for the sake of politeness. "There is someone looking to speak to Queen," she said into the intercom. "He says he is the Mantidfly Fangire and that he needs to speak to her about the Checkmate four."
"Take the elevator to the highest floor," she looked up at him. "You will be guided to the meeting hall."

"My thanks, young lady." He spoke in a calm, even tone this time, but he had a faint smile on his lips. She was cute, and it wasn't as if he had reason to hate her. He nodded, and headed for the elevator. Once he was there, of course, he hit the button, and began his first wait. Of course it was not as long as he'd have worried it, and upon entering the small box, he pressed the button for the highest floor with a slight grimace.
"Thirty-eight floors? My god. Perhaps I should have brought that after all..." To which he was referring to his PS3, which was a delightful tan color, because it was a Monster Hunter Special. Everyone needs hobbies, at any rate.

Informed by one of the Kivaros bats, Queen decided to leave the baby to their guardianship and left the royal bedroom. As she walked, she searched her memory for a Mantidfly Fangire but there was nothing she could draw up. Rook would likely know but the matter of background was not important enough to warrant immediate attention. It was the matter of the Checkmate Four, which the strange presumed to know about, which was a lot more urgent.
Stopping before the doors, Queen stiffened her body and loosened her arms, adjusting her posture for a more regal representation. Satisfied with the way she was carrying herself, she pushed open the doors and made her entrance into the empty hall. It was not something she did not expect, and she preferred it even. Even though she was of the highest rank throught the empire, it was only proper to display good manners. Appearing early to receive a guest was good manners. Taking a seat reserved for the castle's host, she waited.

Personally, Sadao was glad there was a wood-paneled wall in the elevator. Aside from giving an elegant contrast to the mirror, it gave him somewhere to lean, head pushed down over his face. He'd not expected this elevator ride to take more than two minutes... He wasn't actually resting his eyes, but he knew looking like he was napping would make him look less dangerous. He wasn't sure where Lucivat was, but he didn't really care. He wasn't here to fight.
As the elevator chimed and the doors slid open with the careful precision of an expensive machine, he yawned and pushed himself off the wall. Once he was clear of the wall, he pushed his hat back onto his head properly, hiding the dark roots once more, and he pulled the sunglasses off, hanging them over the buttons on his vest. He kept his hat on, and stepped out of the elevator and into what looked like a reception hall. He was greeted by a large man with a stern face, and shown to an elegant door set into a wall that was, in perhaps someone else's opinion, the perfect off-white for the lighting. Sadao didn't notice, as he pushed the door open into the hall in which Queen sat. He removed his hat once he realized who he was seeing, and bowed, holding it to his chest.
"My queen." He spoke, not continuing. His voice was incredibly polite and happily warm. He had a soft smile, and was quite honestly surprised at her youth.

Queen studied the Mantidfly Fangire with an unrelentingly studious gaze as soon as he entered. He was quite a refined character, she deduced, No nervousness, likely not hostile or at least very confident. And it was good to know that her manners have been reciprocated. The time was for business.
"I have not heard of your line," she admitted straightfaced. "Would you care for a brief introduction?"

"Ah, yes. My apologies. I am the Mantidfly Fangireof the Insect Class, human name Ichimonji Sadao. And it has come to my attention that the checkmate four... is supposed to be five, now." He raised his hand from his pocket, and displayed to her the tattoo, keeping his distance.
"May I approach, so you may see the detail? I cannot be sure this will prove to you my status, but I assure you, it is fact." He spoke in plain detail, his voice twinged with the rue of one who was reporting disturbing irony to someone he held in great esteem. His eyes did not flicker from her face, her nose specifically, and he stood perfectly still, unwilling to approach without permission.

"Five?" she repeated. Briefly, she looked at the marking on his hand. That was no proof of anything. He could have been from a different peerage, or it could have been a forgery. "Do you know what you are saying," she very nearly spat in his face. Without drawing her coldly fixed stare away, she raised her head a little higher and directed her voice at the guard she knew was outside her exit, "Summon Rook."

Rook was reading all the information that has been in the library of this place getting a hold of today’s customs and new culture that has changed , when a guard walked in told him that the queen had summoned him he placed the book away and followed the guard to where she was. When he got there he noticed a man he smelled strange to him. He walked next to Queen while in his human form “You ask for my Queen?” he asked rather respectful, looking at the man hand on his tattoo he didn’t like this set up one bit, thou his face didn't show it

Of course, it'd take a moment for rook to get there...
"Yes, I know exactly what I'm saying. If I expected you to believe me immediately, I would not have come unarmed. I submit myself to you, and your whims and desires." He said, cracking a soft grin and raising his eyes to hers. His eyes felt cold and empty, and there was absolutely no doubt in them. His tone implied... everything. Admittedly, it was a slip of the tongue, and he stepped back after it left his lips, only for his embarrassment to be interrupted by Rook's appearance.
He looked at rook, and frowned, not sure what to make of him at the moment.

Queen immediately turned her attention to Rook. "This man here claims that the Checkmate Four actually consist of a fifth member," she explained with a tiny hint of satire. "Which of course, he believes himself to be." Coldly, she took another glance at the similar yet unfamiliar mark on Sadao's hand. "I am ignorant of such matters and would like you to verify that claim."

Rook took the information he was given reviewing every law of the checkmate four in his head from his time till now, finding nothing of a 5th member, he looked at the man with that tattoo and looked at him “ The Laws haven’t changed much over the years, Rook the Hunter and guardian, Bishop the keeper of laws and science, Queen the punisher of those you betray us and unify us in a time of crisis, and The King ruler of all, and creates laws to perverse us.” still keeping his cold eyes on the man “Never in any law have I seen or heard of a such of a 5th member. And young one.” talking to the man with the tattoo “I come from the very first generation of fangires of the checkmate four and no law has been record of such a act.” looking back to queen “ That is all, I can truly say at this point in time “ -turning his eyes back on the man looking at him head to toe, rook didn’t like this man

Sadao simply shrugged, and shook his head. He shrugged.
"Not like I expected you to believe me anyway." He sighed audibly. "Do I have to fight my way out, then? Since I can't really prove anything without blowing something up, and making things like this up is a real dick move?"
He wasn't actually serious about that plan, of course, but if they were to take it seriously, he'd back up his words quite readily. He had no idea where the Lucivat was, but he could manage an escape without... He could damage and destroy things with his position's powers, at least.
