More likely that the show's creator watched too much Kamen Rider and imagined how awesome it would be if he cherry picked from all the seasons and throw them together in a basket.

Yes, because Faiz was totally the first series to use moving at (Axel) High (Mach Leopard[?]) Speed. I think the card capture thing predates blade by ages, but nothing can really cover for the fact that they did basically steal the hell out of the kick finisher.
